Cross Connections for early learners is a Bible story curriculum that has been written specifically for young children (ages 18 mo - 5 yrs) in simple and easy to understand language. In the field of early childhood, educators strive to present information in a developmentally and age-appropriate manner. At Cross Connections for early learners we apply this same concept to teaching young children the truths of God's word and sharing with them God's gracious plan of salvation. Our Bible curriculum begins with the story "Jesus Blesses the Children", laying the foundation for the lessons that will follow. Children will learn that Jesus loves them and wants them to come to him. Students discover that they can come to Jesus when they learn about him through scripture, when they praise him in song and when they speak to him in prayer.
Cross Connections for early learnersoffers three series of lessons:
Miracle Series - Comprised of 36 weekly lessons (Old and New Testament), including several lessons depicting some of Jesus' miracles.
Parable Series - Comprised of 36 weekly lessons (Old and New Testament), including several lessons depicting some of Jesus' teaching parables.
Little Learners Series - Comprised of 38 weekly lessons (Old and New Testament) with 9 thematic units, such as "God Cares for Me", "God Our Protector" "Jesus, Our Savior"...
Every Cross Connections series contains Old and New Testament lessons that are essential to the sharing of God's plan for our salvation.
Lessons include:
Bible Connection - Its own Bible verse that reflects the theme of the story
Story Connection - The Bible story is re-told in a manner that is easy for little children and parents to understand
Cross Connections - Simple statements that reflect the main points of the Bible story (Miracle and Parable)
Praise and Prayer - Song and prayer to reinforce the theme of the lesson
Parent Connection - Ideas for parents to use and implement in the home (Miracle and Parable)
